Cannes 79th Film Festival: The Films, the Looks, and the Theme

The Cannes Film Festival is the most prestigious international film festival and is highly anticipated worldwide. This annual star-studded festival lasted for more than 78 years, celebrating the brilliance of the cinema industry and showcasing the finest haute couture.

In this 79th edition, running from 12 to 23 of May, is themed around female freedom and defiance. As for red carpet fashion, celebrities opted for stunning mermaid cut dresses that defined their beautiful shapes and sparkling fabrics that enhanced their allure. Others chose vibrant pastel colors, such as butter yellow, baby blue, lavender, and peachy pink.

Arab and Saudi stars continue to show up at the festival, bringing Arab and local designer gowns to the French Riviera.
